Key to European Orchids

Since January 2009 the European orchid species in the World Orchid Iconography may be accessed through an interactive key. The visitors of our website may determine their own images of orchids easily: all European orchid species are filtered using morphological criteria. For example, all European orchids with spotted, lancelate leaves and pink flowers may be selected. This strongly reduces the number of species in question. Contrary to the classical dichotomous key,which follows a tree-structure, this key works as multi-access key, allowing the user the choose the order of observed features freely.

Key to the Genus Cypripedium

In 2010 a Key to the Genus was created. Cypripedium species in the World Orchid Iconography may now be accessed through an interactive key.
